  • Identify the major muscles that support all four sides of the the core (pelvic floor, abdominal wall, deep spinal muscles and muscles of breathing)
  • Describe and demonstrate the relationship between the pelvic floor, the deep abdominal wall and the diaphragm muscle
  • Define neutral pelvis and neutral spine and explain the relationship between pelvic and spinal posture and alignment
  • Explain the anatomy of the vertebral column including the bones, muscles, nerves and spinal discs. 
  • Demonstrate how to progress  core strengthening exercises for clients with abdominal diastasis
